Our bucket truck is a handy piece of heavy equipment to have. It can get us in close to plenty of big trees and maneuvers branches and trunks with ease.

But at 75' it just doesn't compare to the reach of this behemoth from Cameron Crane & Riggers. At 205' tall, it makes our rig look like a child's toy. Our Merlo doesn't even have the same reach at 112'. So, having their help on this huge job was a great asset last week. The strength, reach, and control is hard to match.

We all deserve a day off now and then. Our Boss Cal deserves one today. Not because it's Sunday though. Today is Calvin's BIRTHDAY!

We recently had a chance to check in on a tree we planted last year. This Stewardia is doing great! It's amazing the difference the right tree planted in the right spot makes.

Land clearing with the help of some of our big guns. You should have seen the size of that mulch pile when it was done! We are proud that our waste product doesn't go to waste.

Today is World Environment Day with the theme of in 2026.

What does that mean? It means stepping up to do better for our environment.

Some of the steps that Tree Services Ltd takes to improve our mark on the environment might not be obvious to all. It starts with having conversations with our customers. We talk about trees; how we can protect them, nurture them, and improve their overall health when we can. When trees need to be removed, we repurpose wood by turning it into lumber, mulch, and firewood. Sometimes even biochar.

Education is at the heart of what we do though and we like to think that helps the state of the planet. Teaching people about tree health, about beneficial and invasive insects and tree diseases, and even around which trees to plant for what spaces moves the needle in the right direction.

So maybe take the time to figure out what you can do to improve our environment today. Plant a tree, improve the health of your garden, make more sustainable choices (like riding a bike!), support those who are working towards better environmental policies — be a part of the movement to protect our planet.

World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment.
