HL3 and HL3A are the 2 types of mixes widely available across asphalt plants in Ontario.

Both asphalt mixes are strong and will last for years to come, with no cost difference incurred between either choice. The main difference between the two options is that HL3A has more sand in the mix which can help provide a smoother finished surface when it is laid with the proper application techniques.
