Family we**ie roast had a beautiful sunset.
Then today was make-over day for a bed that just wouldn't stay weeded. 22 bags of mulch and still need about 10 more. Ugh.

Chokecherries all cleaned up. And ready to freeze. We have 3 colours... dark red almost black. Lighter red. And yellow. The yellow never produce well and have alot of die back.
What is your favorite recipe to use these in?

Had a good busy day today. Whitecourt Farmers market was busy. Came home ground up parsley picked chokecherries watched...

Had a good busy day today. Whitecourt Farmers market was busy. Came home ground up parsley picked chokecherries watched sandhill cranes fly over took a picture of a sweet dragonfly resting on a flower. Checked out the hops which are doing quite well. Cleaned up the berries then tomorrow I'll be making carrot cake jam. I"ll have a few jars at the next markets. When we're hopefully less busy I'll be making saskatoon and chokecherry jellies.
