Hi my name is Marlene Kulyk and my business is “Baking by Marlene”. This will be my second time at this show. 
I live outside of Borden, and I have been baking/selling for the last 14 years. I started out selling Christmas baking trays ( which I still do). For the last 3-4 years I’ve been selling at markets, and I also do a weekly farmers market out by Radisson. I love baking, it puts me in my “ Happy Place”
I’ll have a variety of baking at the show from mini cakes, individual cheesecakes, squares, cookies, pies, banana loaves, tarts and more.

My name is Ivy Dusanko, owner of Ivy’s Forever Wellness and Christinium®. I currently live in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, but I graduated from high school in Shellbrook, so I’m really excited to be coming back to the area for the Light & Lumber Rustic Market!
I’ll be bringing a selection of my products, including Christinium® titanium earrings, designed with sensitive ears in mind, as well as my handmade magnesium creams and sprays and Ivy’s Forever Lashes.

Introducing Callie’s Cove 🐢

a small space of remembrance at this year’s Light and Lumber Market. In honor of founder Brittany & Nick Dutka’s daughter, Callie, We’ll be creating a sea turtle for each child, each bearing their name, to form a gentle wall of love and memory.

What in the turtle?! 🐢

For those new faces on our account welcome! We are so happy you are here! You may have noticed a few turtle appearances on this page lately — and while they are undeniably adorable creatures, their presence holds a much deeper meaning for our founder and her family.

Shortly after Brittany received her daughter Callie’s terminal diagnosis of Trisomy 22, she had a brief but vivid dream. In it, she was in Hawaii, spreading Callie’s ashes. The dream was fleeting — just a moment — but it stayed with her.

A few weeks later, as the reality of saying goodbye grew closer, Brittany began searching for the perfect urn. And there it was — right on the first page of Etsy — a beautiful sea turtle urn. It immediately struck a chord. The sea turtle, a creature so iconic to Hawaii, was now tied to that dream… and to Callie.

The symbolism only grew stronger. Baby sea turtles, like Callie, leave their mothers shortly after birth — a painful but poignant parallel. Ever since, sea turtles have found their way to Brittany and her family in the most unexpected moments. A gentle reminder. A little hug. A quiet “Hi, Mom.” 🐢

So when you come to the market, you’ll notice turtles here and there — on vendor tags, on your dirty soda cups, even the new Callie’s Cove where we will honour our littles that are no longer with us here on earthside — each one of these dedications carrying a piece of our love for Callie.

We truly can’t wait to see you and share another UNREAL day together.
