I have stomach cancer.
There’s no easy way to say it and certainly not how I (or anyone) wanted to welcome the holiday season. But life is unpredictable and though it has been a challenging month, I’m about to embark on what could be the most challenging season of my life.
But my spirit feels at peace.
You may have noticed I haven’t been very active on social of late as I had been contending with an unknown ailment for the last several months. Unknown until early last week when they diagnosed me with an aggressive form of stomach cancer (SRCC). Thankfully, it appears to be contained in the stomach and the CT Scan doesn’t show it having spread to my lymph nodes or other organs.
I’m presently waiting to be booked for surgery - a total gastrectomy - followed by chemotherapy.
News like this is difficult to post and I’m still very much in the process of getting all of my emotions and thoughts sorted out.
I hope you will allow me to use this outlet to do just that and at the same time, walk yet another chapter along with me.
Sadly, I don’t have the energy to decorate for Christmas so I’ll probably be sharing past Christmas content and a couple of the new projects I was able to do. I hope they will inspire you and maybe I’ll see my vision come to fruition through you.
If you’re the praying type, please keep my family and I in your thoughts and prayers.
As usual, thank you so much for always showing me love and support. It means more than you’ll ever know. ❤️
