Real talk. I’m sad.

Feeling very humbled as fall prep is around the corner and the dahlias look a month behind.

On a different note, digging up dahlias DOES excite me. I’m hopeful they made plenty of tubers - dig, divide and store season is upon us

Can I do it? 1000% yes. That’s all I did for years, with some peonies and irises. And it brought me zero joy.

Etched Salmon Peony = perfection 🌸

I only read and heard incredible things about this variety, but it wasn’t until one of my plants gave me blooms that I finally understood. Etched Salmon met all my expectations and more.

Leave her on the plant? Stunning. Cut flowers? Stunning.

Peonies. I will never not grow them. 🤎

They’re one of those flowers that are so worth the wait. Hardy, long-lived, low maintenance once established, and they just get better and better every year. Plant them once and you can enjoy those big, fluffy blooms for decades.

There’s something about walking out into the garden and seeing a giant peony clump covered in blooms that gets me every time. Year after year. 🌸
