Appreciation Post

After having nearly two months off, the main man is back.

Andrew or as he is affectionately known by his mates - Smiler, has been under the weather lately, after having a huge round of chemotherapy that would knock an elephant out.

However he has come through it and is back to work to get some peace and quiet (his words).

It's great to see him back and it's been a tough two months without him. Already he has been cracking jokes and telling me how much he looks like Tony Luke now 🤣

BAD is definitely a better place now that he is back.

Any well wishes would be great and I'll show him on Friday

OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OUR TEAM

We’re excited to be working in partnership with Itec Skills & Employment through the Jobs Growth Wales+ programme to offer a young person the opportunity to join Brennan Architectural Design.

This 6–9 month placement will provide hands-on experience across architectural design, surveying and the day-to-day running of a busy architectural practice. You’ll have the opportunity to:

📐 Develop an understanding of architectural drawings and designs
📏 Assist with measurements, site visits and surveys
📁 Help organise drawings and project information
💻 Build your IT, communication and organisational skills
🏠 Learn how projects develop from the initial idea through to completion

No previous experience in architecture or surveying is required. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely willing to learn.

To be eligible, applicants must:

✅ Be aged 16–19
✅ Not currently in education, employment or training

The placement also includes:

💷 £60 weekly training allowance
🍴 £3.90 daily food allowance
🚗 Eligible travel expenses reimbursed
🎓 The opportunity to work towards a QCF/NVQ Level 1 qualification
📚 Support to develop Maths and English skills

For the right person, there is the potential to progress into an apprenticeship with us following successful completion of the placement.
