Whilst visiting a new client, I had to double-take when I saw this.

At first glance, it feels unmistakably Mediterranean, sun-warmed brick, fragments of timber projecting like the remnants of a shallow eave, a kind of accidental ruin that wouldn’t look out of place in southern Italy or rural Spain.

But it’s in the Cynon Valley.

Enjoying the sights of Pontypridd today.

A productive morning on site with R.C.T and their QS, discussing our upcoming project to convert an existing commercial building into a mixed-use scheme of commercial space and flats.

Then across town to meet a new client regarding a potential change of use of an attic space into residential accommodation.

A fantastic view of the 'Yr Hen Bont' bridge. Interesting fact, the famous three circular holes of differing sizes at each end, are designed to reduce the weight of the structure.
