Got a call to attend a locksmith contract job in Bracknell as the local guy was off on a jolly this weekend. Called the client to arrange an appointment. She said 'my front door is not locking hence why it is an emergency, I really cannot wait until Monday. She was right, this is never going to lock a door again. New lock fitted. Happy client.

This door is less than 12 months old, although it looks like its been there for 12 years. We got asked to look at it as the residents were fed up with it never working. They have tried their hardest to get the builders back in to rectify the mistake.
When we arrived first thing we noticed was there was a big gap in between the brick work and the hanging side of the frame and a distinct lack of any sealant. The frame had not been fixed correctly, the top of the door was hanging off a loosely tightened frame fix. A few heavy duty frame fixes later and the door should sit in its correct position for many years to come. Even if it does look older than its age.
