Beetham Nurseries Beetham Nurseries is a family-run Garden Centre & Growing Nursery. Beetham Nurseries near Milnthorpe was established in 1984.

The Plant, Garden Centre, Cafe, Food Shop and new Growing Nursery are family owned and run by Stephen and Lesley Abbit. The Growing Nursery is the newest addition to the family business and has been built to mark the 30th anniversary year.

‼️ Customer Notice ‼️

🔌 Beetham Nurseries will remain OPEN during a planned power cut on Wednesday 10th June. The main Garden Centre will be open running with a limited service from 1.30pm.

One till will remain open by the main exit to make purchases. We intend to return to full capacity from 4.30pm onwards.

☕️ The Garden Cafe will be CLOSED from 1pm and will only be offering breakfast service from 9.30am until 12pm, drinks and cake will be served until 12.45pm.

🍕The Wood Fired Kitchen and Coffee Van will be closed all day.

🌱 The Growing Nursery will remain OPEN as usual.

🚾 Toilets will be available at The Wood Fired Kitchen.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

🤩 Beetham Nurseries is bursting with beautiful blooms this season, but if you're not sure where to start, we've rounded up some of our favourite early summer picks to help inspire you.

🪷 Scabious is part of the honeysuckle family and are adored by pollinators, they are often referred to as ‘pin cushions’ for their unique shape. (Available in the Garden Centre)

🌷 Lychnis ‘ Hill Grounds’ produce striking magenta-pink flowers from late spring all the way until autumn. This long-blooming perennial is a fantastic bloom you can rely on. (Available in The Growing Nursery)

🪻 Salvias are certainly show stopper worthy and pollinator friendly! They are easy to grow so great for beginners who are looking to support local wildlife and add a splash of colour to their garden. (Available in the Garden Centre)

🍁 Heuchera are renowned for their colourful scalloped leaves and delicate summer flower spikes. They are incredibly versatile and low-maintenance. (Available in both Garden Centre and The Growing Nursery)

🌸 Our wildflower department has been very popular and is a great place to browse if you are interested in creating more wild areas in your garden. (Available in the Growing Nursery)

🍅 Fortnight has officially begun! It’s time to celebrate local growers producing fresh, juicy tomatoes from March to November.

🌱 Why not grow your own heirloom tomatoes or even some of the traditional varieties such as Alisa Craig and Gardeners Delight. Our tomato plants are supplied by British grower W Robinson & sons LTD, located in Garstang, who have 166 years of horticultural experience.

🥫Or, if you simply want to celebrate the fantastic taste of tomatoes, we recommend the product range. From classic tomato ketchup to shakshuka and tomato and chilli jam, you’ll surely be able to satisfy your tomato needs!
