Gloaming Tree Surgery offers a

complete range of specialist tree care services. From disease diagnosis and tree removal to tree reports and pruning - Gloaming Tree Surgery are here to take care of all of your arboricultural needs. Clear Felling: Cutting the tree at the base using felling cuts and dropping it in one section. Sectional felling: Cutting the tree down from the top in many sections normally when there is limited space (E.g. in a garden with buildings surrounding the tree it would be safer to use this method). The sections are then lowered or dropped depending on the situation. Crown lifting: Removing the lower limbs to increase the height clearance underneath the crown. Crown thinning: Removing a percentage of branches to reduce the weight in the canopy and increasing light penetration. Crown reduction: Pruning the branches back all over the tree to reduce the size of the crown. Pollarding: Reducing the limbs back to large branches or the main stem. Dead or dangerous tree removal: This work can be carried out by clear felling, from a platformed area (MEWP/Cherry Picker) or in some circumstances via climbed sectional felling. Stump grinding: Removal of tree stumps using a stump grinder. Stump treatment: Application of stump killer to prevent any re-growth occurring when a tree is removed. Logging: Cutting the wood into logs for fuel. Wood chipping: Chopping wood and debris into small chippings using our chipper

Hedge maintenance and removal: Hedge cutting and full removal

Disease diagnostics: Diagnosis of diseases and treatments

Specialist pruning: Fruit tree pruning/maintenance, formative pruning & remedial pruning

The winch operators view of a large Horse Chestnut fell at a school this week. It’s not often we get to fell a tree like this from the ground, usually it would be an aerial dismantle, but here we had a bit of space! 🌳

At Gloaming we like tricky, we like a challenge, confined space tree works are our thing. Although not a huge tree, this one was awkward, two other companies had turned the job down 🌳😊
