Charter Walk

Charter Walk We design and create bespoke kitchens that are beautiful, functional and social.

No polished showroom or perfectly styled kitchen shots here.

Just timber, machinery, sawdust and our team of genuinely skilled master craftsmen quietly building kitchens by hand in our Hampshire joinery.

Made to measure. Made properly. Built to last.

A kitchen should be more than simply a place to cook - it should feel like the centre of the home.

Designed as the ultimate kitchen centrepiece, our Chef’s Table has its roots in the traditional Victorian cooks table, refined into what we proudly call the Charter Walk Chef’s Table.

Handcrafted in our Hampshire joinery by our master craftsmen, each one features beautifully turned legs, dovetail drawers and a bespoke painted or stained finish chosen specifically for the home it’s being made for.

A timeless piece, designed to be lived around for years to come.

If this weekend’s sunshine has you suddenly thinking about yellow kitchens… honestly, we don’t blame you.

There’s something about a warm, buttery yellow in an old country cottage that just works. Especially when the light starts pouring through the windows and everything feels a little softer, calmer and brighter.

This kitchen was created for a beautiful 400-year-old cottage, where the colour feels completely at home amongst the original beams, aged textures and character of the house.

Gorgeously cheerful. A little bit unexpected. And proof that sometimes the kitchens people worry might feel “too much” end up being the ones with the most personality.

A little behind the scenes from today’s team shoot at Charter Walk Kitchens.

Most people see the finished kitchen, but this is where it all starts - in the workshop, surrounded by timber, tools, sawdust and a team who genuinely care about what they make.

We spent the morning capturing more of the people behind Charter Walk, and honestly… the guys were brilliant. Lots of laughs, plenty of banter, and a reminder that every kitchen we create is the result of a huge amount of skill, experience and teamwork.

Looking forward to sharing more from the shoot soon.

Neutral kitchens never go out of style because they work in so many different ways.

What changes is the feeling they create. Some spaces feel clean and contemporary through simple lines and understated details. Others feel more classic and timeless, with layered textures and traditional proportions. And somewhere in between is where many homes naturally settle - balancing bespoke joinery with softer, more relaxed finishes that make the space feel warm, calm and easy to live with.

We’re also seeing more natural timber being introduced into painted kitchens, particularly on islands and feature cabinetry, bringing depth and contrast without overpowering the room.

The beauty of a neutral kitchen is its longevity. It doesn’t follow a particular moment in design. Instead, it creates a space that evolves with the home around it -understated, highly functional and designed to feel just as relevant years from now as it does today.

The most successful interiors are the ones that feel connected beyond the kitchen itself.

In this home, the rich dark timber used on the kitchen island continues through into the bespoke living space cabinetry and media wall, creating a natural sense of cohesion across the entire ground floor. Rather than each room feeling separate, the joinery links the spaces together beautifully - adding warmth, balance and a sense of continuity throughout.

It’s this level of consideration that makes bespoke design feel so different to simply choosing individual pieces room by room. Every detail works together, creating a home that feels calm, fluid and completely tailored to the way the family lives.

Powder blue cabinetry, warm brass hardware and crisp quartz worktops.

This kitchen was designed to feel calm and practical - somewhere light and bright to spend busy mornings, but still with that quiet, furniture-like feel that makes a bespoke kitchen sit comfortably within the home.

The framed cabinetry was handmade in our workshop, with every detail tailored around the way the family use the space day to day. A classic in-frame kitchen, but without feeling predictable. 🤍

A contemporary kitchen may look simple on the surface, but that simplicity is exactly what makes it so unforgiving.

With flat-fronted cabinetry and clean architectural lines, every detail matters. The beauty of a bespoke contemporary kitchen comes from the precision behind it - expert measurements, meticulous installation, and craftsmanship that ensures every element sits perfectly in place.

When done properly, the result is effortlessly sleek, beautifully balanced, and incredibly impactful.

The spiral wine cellar was always intended to sit at the centre of the kitchen design and become a defining part of the space itself.

That circular shape naturally influenced the wider kitchen design - from the curved breakfast bar to the glass pendant lighting above the island and the softer flow through the room. Subtle details that tie everything together.

The result is a kitchen that feels open, sociable and easy to live in, while still centred around one striking feature beneath your feet.
