🏴 From Arbroath to America: A Legacy of Protecting What Matters 🔑
Took a walk past the stunning ruins of Arbroath Abbey today and it got me thinking about just how much history is built into those red sandstone walls.
Most people know it as the birthplace of the Declaration of Arbroath in 1320—Scotland’s ultimate statement of freedom. But did you know its legacy crossed the Atlantic? 🌍
When the United States drafted their own Declaration of Independence in 1776, they drew massive inspiration from our very own Arbroath document. In fact, nearly half of the signers of the American Declaration had Scottish ancestry! They understood what the monks and nobles at Arbroath knew centuries before: that independence, sovereignty, and peace of mind are worth protecting at all costs.
Back in 1320, protecting your kingdom meant thick stone walls and iron gates. 🏰
Today, protecting your "castle"—whether it's your home or your business—looks a little different. Times change, but the need to keep what’s yours safe and secure never does.
If your home security feels a bit medieval, or you just want to make sure your locks are doing their job to protect your independence, one lock at a time. 🔐
