This weeks brief was simple, remove old, leaking shower and replace with new. The wall was blocking out so much light and the clients choice of a 1200 x 800 tray looks fantastic in the space. There was two walls that were removed, 1 hiding the pipework and the other was to create the walk in shower.

Once they were gone I could plan the waste pipes and create a better flow and allow the tray to be lowered. A new towel rad was installed and waste and taps to the washhand basin. The clients are going to decorate and get new flooring installed making the room a nicer ensuite with a lot more light flooding into the space.

Some great choices and a pleasure to work with these clients.

This week saw the final push on a job that was needed to be done in two visits. Unfortunately the boiler at the property decided to stop and a replacement was needed.

Due to the lay out of the floor tiles it wasnt possible to complete until the new boiler was fitted.

This bathroom & utility room was in need of a major overhaul due to a long term leak under the shower. New flooring was installed to both rooms and timber studwork renewed where needed.

This job really was rewarding and the clients a joy to work with. Some great choices were made by them and the results speak for themselves.

The bathroom furniture was supplied by Gateway Tile and Slate Limited, the tiles were sourced from Topps Tiles and the building materials were purchased from Bradfords & RGB Building Supplies.

I had the pleasure of working with a delightful client this week who was struggling to access the bath. The solution was to remove the bath and install a shower tray for her.

She now has a safe nonslip tray with support rails for her safe mobility. The screen is mounted to the tray and the ceiling to give another support anchor. This now allows her to have a shower with independence and safety, a real win win for her and her family.

Gateway Tile and Slate Limited supplied the tray, screen and panels to provide a great finish and style. Materials/sundries were source from Bradfords Launceston. A special mention to Transport Dan for making a delivery with short notice. Making the job run as smoothly as possible.

A very busy and productive start to the year so far. Unfortunately this has meant that the social media side has fallen behind.

I have been beavering away and not had a chance to catch my breath. Things are starting to become a lot more manageable now so I thought I would share my latest job.

A valued client on a return visit needed the room that I installed limestone slate flooring with underfloor heating. The carpenter had installed some stunning bespoke cupboards and doors to an alcove. The plan was always to return and complete the flooring once done.
The unit will be a drinks cabinet and the lower section a log store for those winter evenings in front of the log burner.

Then there was some heavy lifting to do with the solid oak lintel replacement. This has now been exposed and will look amazing once the render has been completed. When the old lintel was removed it was so rotten it was reduced to dust in places.

Hi All,

A busy and productive (apart from social media updates) start to 2026 for me. Please find the the before and after photos from my last job.

Flooring purchased from Topps Tiles, a quality wood effect LVT click fit system. The ceilins/walls and woodwork have being finished using the Dulux diamond finish paint and satinwood.

Pleased with how this has come together, it has given the clients a durable and elegant finish.

Sorry for the post avalanche but wanted to share the final job of the year with you.

The property was in need of a bathroom refurb and the tiling in the kitchen being updated.
