Our management team at Security Risk Specialists Ltd came together this week over breakfast.

With a busy period ahead across our residential and commercial environments, it was a good opportunity to step away from day-to-day operations, reconnect as a team and spend some time together outside of the usual routine.

In fast paced environments, moments like these are important. They help maintain good communication, collaboration and strong cohesion across our SRS management team.

It was also nice to share ideas, catch up together and enjoy a more relaxed moment over a good meal while continuing to strengthen the positive team environment behind the scenes across our operations in London.

Since joining Security Risk Specialists Ltd in March 2018, Zoltan has taken on a variety of Supervisor roles across different sites, becoming a reliable and valued member of our SRS team.

Over time, he has consistently demonstrated a positive and supportive approach, alongside a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to his role.

Zoltan regularly shows outstanding flexibility by covering colleagues’ holidays and taking on additional shifts when required, always with a genuine willingness to support the team and contribute to operational continuity across our sites.

Strong leadership starts with strong communication.

This week, our Director, Yair Daren (BSc), delivered a development session to our senior management team as part of an ongoing programme focused on continuously raising leadership standards across the business.

Focused on communication across the business, the session explored how verbal communication, body language, listening skills and communication style can directly influence outcomes. Real workplace scenarios were used to highlight the impact effective communication has on team morale, performance, client confidence and operational results.

The purpose of this wider programme is clear: to keep developing our SRS teams so they continue delivering an impeccable Security-Concierge standard. The impact is twofold: strengthening the leadership and support our on-site teams receive, while enhancing the experience delivered to our clients every day.

By investing in our managers, we strengthen every level of our service.

Since joining Security Risk Specialists Ltd in March 2025, Elisabeth has become a valued member of our SRS team. Working as a Weekend Supervisor within one of our residential blocks of flats in London, she has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.

Following a recent reduction in service levels on site, Elisabeth has taken on increased pressure and responsibility. With fewer staff on duty, she has maintained full ownership of her role, ensuring continuity, stability and consistently high operational standards at all times.

Her ability to manage these challenges calmly, while maintaining control and clear communication, has been recognised by both our management team and our client.

At SRS, we believe the strongest managers and leaders are built from the ground up.

Promoting from within isn’t just a nice idea, it protects standards. When someone has worked long shifts, the patrol, the control room and the handover, they lead with real understanding. They see how decisions land on site, how continuity is maintained, and what “good” looks like under pressure.

It also creates a wider perspective: priorities align across locations, expectations stay realistic and standards remain high.

A great example is Anton Petkov. Anton joined Security Risk Specialists Ltd in 2018 as a Security Officer. Since then, he has progressed through several roles, earning three promotions through consistent performance, a willingness to learn, and readiness to take on greater responsibility.

Operational Management came first, Security Coordination followed and currently holding a Commercial Leadership role, which only made sense once the full scope of activities and the business was established through hand-on experience.

This is how roles take shape at SRS: not through titles, but through mastering each layer of the job before moving on to the next.

Great to have attended an insightful meeting with the City of London Crime Prevention Association, led by .

Useful intelligence was shared on the most recent threats affecting , including hostile reconnaissance and the spillover of threats caused by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

At Security Risk Specialists Ltd, this kind of intelligence plays an important role in helping our SRS team manage and support our clients and our staff, particularly in relation to the management of protests during times of civil unrest, as well as through the application of crime deterrence techniques.

The session also reinforced the importance of cooperation between police and the private security industry, and the importance of maintaining a strong security posture across our Front of House and our Security-Concierge teams operating within the London buildings under our care.

These insights help our teams deliver a calm, professional and welcoming presence while remaining alert and prepared in the environments we protect every day.

During a daytime shift at a residential block of flats we secure in Central London, our Security Risk Specialists Ltd team responded to a medical emergency involving a resident who collapsed in the gym facilities.

Following an immediate radio alert from the spa reception, our Security-Concierge team attended without delay, assessed the situation and provided first aid while ambulance services were being arranged.

The situation was managed calmly and discreetly, ensuring resident safety while minimising disruption within communal areas.

In residential security, professional judgement matters most when the unexpected happens.

Clear communication was maintained throughout between our Security-Concierge team, reception staff and site management, allowing the incident to be handled efficiently until paramedics arrived and carried out a full medical assessment. No further action was required, reflecting a measured and effective response.
