Back to school (home edition!) 🍂
As an Interior Designer, function ALWAYS comes first on my agenda, and there’s something about September that makes me want to press reset on everything.
I always like to treat September a little like I would the New Year ‘Septem-uary’, if you will! ✨
A fresh start, a change in routine and the perfect excuse to have a little rethink about how our spaces are working for us.
After the slower pace of summer, September naturally brings a bit more structure back into the house, so I find myself looking at our everyday spaces with fresh eyes. What’s working? What’s creating unnecessary clutter? What could make mornings that little bit easier?
From getting the home entrance organised for those back-to-school dashes, to giving the kitchen a little refresh, creating a more functional home office/workspace, and making sure the living spaces feel calm and inviting again, this is my favourite time of year for a practical reset for sure!
And, of course, it doesn’t have to mean buying lots of new things or completely redecorating. Often it’s about making small changes, editing what you already have and introducing a few clever pieces that make everyday life work better.
So I’ve put together a few September reset recommendations for each area, practical, beautiful and, most importantly, things that earn their place in the home.

We survived (just about!) the Summer holidays juggling it all, still squeezing in plenty of client meetings/ site visits and everything else in between. Feel so lucky to have snuck in two holidays, celebrated birthdays, all of the days out and even a few of my own home renovations making it off of the Pinterest board 😉
I love September and that feeling of a clean slate, we have so many exciting things in the pipeline and are looking forward to taking you on the journey with us! 🤍

Jokes aside, our minds have definitely started wandering towards the C word (sorry 🙈).
From planning our wreath-making workshops and thinking about Christmas stock, to working away behind the scenes to make sure our clients’ homes are ready in time for all that Christmas magic🎄✨

Mentally, we’re already there. 😉

To be this we had to be this 🤍
We have gotten so busy for the rest of 2026, which is just the best feeling in the world, but sometimes amongst the non stop meetings, site visits, client approvals, signing off, managing accounts/budgets, creating drawings and so on it is easy to forget how far we have come in the last 10 years.
So a little Monday reflecting and some before and afters of our Studio home ✨
