Staircase conversion completed in Hethersett, Norfolk

If you want to see this one before keep scrolling! We recently had a customer approach us to have their staircase updated. They did not want to disrupt the home with a full replacement so we were happy to offer a staircase conversion instead. We are very pleased with how this project turned out. The new oak staircase with glass balustrade has really transformed this focal point of their home. It’s extremely satisfying to see your customer so pleased with the final outcome.

This customer had a balustrade in their home that went back to the 50s when the house was originally built. Originally it was a plastered wall acting as a handrail. She asked for me to help modernise her staircase and entrance way as part of further renovations that she has had taking place in her home. We also installed the wall paneling seen in the rear of the photo which is waiting for the decorator to finish up.

This grade II listed building in central Norwich had an extension put on the rear of the building in the late 90s. The original builders formed windows in this oak aperture by strapping components to the oak frame and ultimately the ingress of water rotted everything to the point where the glazing was dangerously falling out of the building. We pulled together a full listed building consent with the local council and got all required approvals prior to fitting these new fully finished windows. This should be a lot better moving forward for the flat owners who are no longer experiencing late night noise and a cold draft blowing through the previous windows.

I was contacted by a customer who wanted to strip back the dated staircase with plastered walls and have me install a more traditional arrangement of turned spindles and posts which complimented the age of the property they own. Under further investigation we discovered that the original paneling, that was installed in the property when it was built, still existed under the plasterboard surface and we were able to restore it. This was like an added bonus. Almost a long lost treasure that someone had buried for us to find at a later date. I am really pleased with the transformation and this is a prime example of how we have the ability to convert an existing staircase to provide a fresh appearance to your home with minimal disruption to your life.

I was proud to supply 4 of these bespoke bin cabinets to the Norwich City Council. New laws have been introduced regarding separating waste and they contacted me to help build something that would suit their needs as they struggled to find anything off the shelf that would meet all of their criteria.

Now that our small cnc is running we can have some fun with it to make all sorts of different projects come to life. I had some fun making this today.

Structural oak frame is raised, next step is the staircase. Customer is happy to have it installed and now the builder can get on with the rest of the renovation.
