Another brilliant week at clm building and maintenance starting the week off in Cambridge fitting this steel fence with with a fencing company I work with then moving on to something a little more local making good removing the existing wall and fitting a steel beam to allow for bifold doors to be fitted in the following weeks

Chimney repairs this one was in a very bad way holes in the lead work many poor repairs over the years along with many broken tiles and missing cement in most of the joint now it’s as good as new

I often get questioned on to what damage ivy can do to a wall .
As you can see from the picture below ivy dose massive damage over time this wall was hoped to be a repoint with some repairs but in closer inspection it turned out to be a little more thankfully that as no issue for us here as Clm building and maintenance and I think the pictures talk for there self

Another amazing transformation due to the weather I sadly didn’t manage to get before pictures thankfully the day after I was able to get back refit the fascia’s that I built to the existing dimensions of the originals back at the work shop.

Any areas off bad paint was fully removed and sanded back primed and repainted in a high gloss finish to make sure this porch lasts for many more years

Now that’s a huge improvement full repoint addressing a few areas where insects had burrowed though the mortar at the hight levels and we also found the lower level to have originally had a brick bad that had been skinned in cerment mortar with napped flint this was resolved by removing and replacing with full flints and lime mortar this will certainly help to prolong the life off this beautiful barn for many more years

A lovely busy week last week removing and replacing a stable roof adding clear panels for natural light along with lots off general maintenance gutter repairs,down pipe replacements, digging out for fresh concrete and building benches while it was raining

Not all patios need to be replaced a little tlc and its back too looking brand new all joints ground out and repointed a massive thank you too VanAsh for his superb work pressure washing all the slabs to like new construction.
