Thomson Sawmills produce and manufacture a wide range of Fencing & Landscaping timbers. Available to the general public, contractors and bulk customers. Timber is available on a collection & delivery basis; Deliveries are made locally throughout Norfolk and bulk deliveries across the country. Timber produced on site is from England's forests and are proud members of the Forest Stewardship Council.

As well as timber being sawn, stacked and banded on site, Thomson Sawmills also operate state of the art treatment plants. Thomson Sawmills have two treatment plants, giving customers a choice of pressure treated brown or green. Thomson Sawmills operate from a 50 acre site, which enables large stocks of a wide range of items. Products such as Posts, Rails, Feather edge, Concrete Posts and Gravel Boards, Machine Round Posts, Wirenetting, Ironmongery, Postmix and much more available from one site to make any Fencing & Landscaping job complete. There is also an Online ordering service in place.

Thomson Sawmills is a well-established, family-run timber processing business with over 40 years of experience.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and practical Trainee Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Fitter’s Mate to join our maintenance team and work alongside our experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in engineering. You will receive hands-on training and mentoring while working on a wide range of heavy plant and production machinery in a busy sawmill environment.

No two days are the same, and the successful candidate will gain valuable experience across all aspects of mechanical maintenance and repair.
