Amy Allcroft – Garden Assistance and Maintenance

I am a friendly Norfolk based gardener offering general maintenance and assistance in the garden. Garden Assistance: If you want somebody to work alongside you whist you garden I am happy to lend a hand. Alternately I am happy to work under your supervision to your specifications. Maintenance Services: Mowing and strimming, leaf clearing, weeding,

shrub and flower pruning, planting, hedge trimming, vegetable patch creation/assistance. Whatever you gardening requirements, I am happy to help you make your garden something you want it to be. I charge £12.50 per hour (I cannot currently offer a waste-disposal service)

Weeded and mulched a mound...the Rhodidendrons should be happy now :). I dug out lots of nettles and brambles and cut back the buddleia. I then mulched the bed to help prevent weeds and keep the moisture in. The bark chips came from the hedges that were cut down earlier in 2016...a great way of recycling and it also contained loads of mycelium ( a fungus that helps the nutrition absorption in plants). There is still more to do here but some nice transitional pics (albeit bad quality).

On my RHS course at college we have been learning how to prune and Espalier trees. Very satisfying!

Today I found apple tree's, raspberry canes, a fig tree, a bay tree and various other delights under some crazy Buddleja's. I love a good ol' prune.

It's chucking it down and miserable today so I am wearing the brightest waterproof I own to keep the spirits up :)

Today at the allotment we planted out some purple sprouting broccoli and Chinese salad leaf. Chicken manure pellets for fertiliser. Slug defence includes crushed egg shells, sheeps wool and slug pellets. Bird defence from netting. Belt and braces all the way!
