All our engineers are OFTEC registered.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled oil boiler engineer who is looking for their next step. Qualifications and experience required for this role:
• OFTEC 101, 105E, 600A
• Level 2 Plumbing NVQ
• G3 certification
• Valid UK driving licence
• A minimum of five years of experience with oil boilers
• Must be able to work independently
• Gas qualification is welcome, but not essential
Job Role and Key Responsibilities
You will be working predominantly in Norfolk and occasionally in Suffolk. Day to day work will be servicing oil boilers and responding to breakdowns and updating the CRM system (Service M8). Occasionally there will be some general plumbing activities and oil boiler installs and tank replacements.
Oil Boiler Servicing:
• Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of oil boilers to ensure efficient operation and longevity.
• Inspect and test critical components such as safety valves, burners, and control systems.
• Clean and replace filters, nozzles, and necessary parts to optimise performance.
Boiler Breakdowns:
• Diagnose and rectify faults in boilers promptly and efficiently.
• Respond to emergency service calls for breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
• Replace faulty components and perform repairs to restore systems to safe working order.
Boiler Installs:
• Install new oil boilers in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant safety regulations.
• Assess customer requirements to recommend suitable boiler systems.
• Conduct thorough post-installation checks to ensure systems function correctly and safely.
Tank Installs:
• Install and connect oil storage tanks, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
• Conduct leak tests and secure fittings to guarantee safe operation.
• Advise customers on proper maintenance procedures and monitoring for oil levels.
General Plumbing:
• Undertake general plumbing work, such as installing and repairing taps, toilets, and pipework.
• Address any plumbing issues encountered during boiler servicing or installation.
• Ensure all plumbing work adheres to relevant regulations and standards.
Cylinder Installs:
• Install hot water cylinders as part of heating systems, ensuring reliable connections and functionality.
• Perform pressure tests to confirm the integrity of installations.
• Provide guidance to clients on the use and maintenance of their systems for optimal performance.
As part of the role, the following items are provided: a van, phone, tools, and a uniform.
Other Responsibilities
• Adhere to safe working practices and health and safety guidelines.
• Complete all associated documentation accurately and diligently.
• Always deliver excellent customer service.
• Attend training sessions as required.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Managing Director.
