Trading since 1971, Mousehold Garden Centre is a small, friendly shop with an extensive garden sales area that you can happily spend hours exploring - you'll be amazed at how much there is! We have a wide variety of plants and products, almost all of which are locally sourced. If you're after fruiting or ornamental trees or shrubs, climbers, perennials, houseplants, veg plants, hedging plants, herbs, grasses, bamboo, conifers, pond plants etc etc - come and give us a look!

Herbs delight our senses with their aromatic leaves, their subtle (or not so subtle) flavours, and their pleasing flowers. Many of these flowers are also excellent for bees and other pollinating insects. If you are growing herbs such as Basil, for their leaves, remember to also let a few stems flower to help our declining insect population.

Some of the top herbs for bees and other pollinators are: Thyme, Chives, Mint, Rosemary, Marjoram, Basil, Fennel, Lavender, and Sage. 😋
