Our latest sofa creation for a local customer and their beautiful cosy barn conversion, we think their choice of deep plums, warm ochras and tweed greens suit the decor perfectly, it certainly transformed their room, it's all ready for winter for a night by the fire.

A revamp of a poorly upholstered headboard we fully stripped back and re-upholstered in beautiful pale linen fabric with decorative antique brass studs, finished off with 2 lovely grey striped cushions we created. We also created the roman blind and matching cushions.

Bedroom renovation journey
It started with a carpet that had a stench of p*e, 1970s mirrored wardrobe doors and p*eling wallpaper, now its a sunny country bedroom with hand painted furniture, polished vintage pine, bleached oak floor and bucket loads of slubby linens.

The new 'tonal' paint trend for 2026
Its all about gradient colour layering, think of it as a more subtle way to add colour to your walls, it transforms a room by using differing shades from the same colour family by creating gentle changes of colour tone from floor to ceiling.

What Is a Tonal Decor Scheme?
A tonal scheme uses a single base colour and builds around it with lighter and darker variations of the same colour tone. Rather than introducing multiple contrasting colours, the design relies on subtle shifts in shade to create interest and depth.

For example, a room based around green might feature:
Soft sage walls
Deeper olive painted woodwork
Moss-coloured upholstery
Painted deep green furniture

Although the colours vary, they all belong to the same family, creating a seamless and harmonious appearance. Other aspects in in the room can be added in different colours in a subtle way such as flooring, cushions and pictures.
