Guild Anderson Bespoke Handmade Kitchens & Interiors
Wonderful kitchens and back of house spaces for families to flourish in After 20 years, we have that in abundance.

As unfashionable as it may be, we are a team that believes in good old fashioned personal service.

We work in country houses of all sizes, from cottages to manor houses. We love the variety of our client’s homes, and we believe that for back of house domestic spaces to perform to their fullest, they are best created by designers with experience of life. The rooms we create are there to be used.

To be there for your family’s journey. To be dented, scuffed and enriched with the hallmarks of daily life. To tell stories. And, after a few years perhaps, given a fresh coat of paint ready for the next generation to enjoy. Designing good value, beautiful and high functioning environments for families to thrive in requires a highly collaborative approach between us. It also requires trust. Through enthusiasm, curiosity, collaborating closely with you, caring deeply about your project and communicating clearly, we can create wonderful kitchens and domestic spaces which will be a joy to live in for a lifetime. We design and make bespoke handmade kitchens, pantries, sculleries and boot rooms. We work across Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and sometimes further afield. Most of our kitchens cost between £60,000 and £120,000 (includes VAT, appliances, fitting etc)

Period details found throughout this Georgian home proved to be an invaluable source of inspiration for our kitchen design team.

From original stone mullion leaded windows to a new orangery style roof lantern, our job was to enhance these features, creating a kitchen that sits comfortably within a historic context.

This house featured in the May 2025 edition of magazine.

The owners of this Art Deco home have emulated the architectural period by allowing the features of the home to really stand out.

Their paired back aesthetic focuses the eye on the arch shaped windows, clean cabinetry lines and a calm colour pallet.

By adding pops of colour throughout the kitchen in their chosen artwork, this rooms now has multiple layers of interest.

Our Cook's Table kitchen island with a sycamore and sea-pearl quartzite worktop, creates the perfect area for preparing food.

Discreetly housed within the hand polished oak base is warming drawer. The electricity cables to power the appliance are concealed within the table legs. Additional deep pan drawers make it a uniquely functional piece.

It is essential to find the right balance between form and function. Boot rooms need to work all year round. Naturally they work hard during the wet, muddy winter months, but during the summer time they also serve a practical purpose.

Whatever the weather, cabinets, open shelves, baskets and seating all come together to create a harmonious hard-working space.

We believe it can be room that manages all the rigours that family life has to throw at it, and still look beautiful.

By layering colour, antiques and personal pieces, it is possible to design interiors that have an effortlessness quality; they feel like they have slowly evolved over many years.

Working with the interior designer to produce a kitchen that sits harmoniously within its Georgian town house setting, we have created a room that reflects the character of the home, allowing it to function beautifully for modern family life.

Butler's sink vs Belfast sink?

There are many kitchen details to consider, but one which has stood the test of time is the Butler's or Belfast sink. Within our portfolio we use a range of sink styles that suit each kitchen design uniquely.

Traditional in style, and similar in appearance, both the Belfast and Butler sink offer an appealing aesthetic when designing your bespoke kitchen, creating an attractive and practical focal point.

There’s a style that never seems to go out of fashion – the cottage kitchen. A quintessential embodiment of coziness and warmth, offering a charming and inviting space for cooking and gathering.

While aesthetics are important, the functionality of this kitchen has not been forgotten. The long oak topped kitchen island houses deep pan drawers on either side, and creates the central focus to a practical space that exudes comfort and nostalgia.

By creating a false wall an arched recess has been added to house the induction hob and Aga.

A large recessed wall cupboard sits flush with the new wall, offering an alternative to standard wall mounted cabinetry, seemingly integrating the cabinetry within the fabric of the building.
