The Longs Locks van has had a makeover! 🤩

After a few years of being on the road, we thought it was about time our van got a bit of an upgrade!

Our new van branding is finally on and we’re over the moon with how it’s turned out! So if you’re out and about around Selby, York or the surrounding areas, keep an eye out for us! 👀

A customer in Selby called us out after their composite door had jammed up and was causing problems.

We repaired the locking mechanism, replaced the cylinder and fitted a brand-new pair of handles. Once the repair was complete, we noticed the door needed a little adjustment to get everything sitting and operating correctly.

A bit of work and a few adjustments later, and the door was back to opening, closing and locking properly. 🔐

Another door back in action and another happy customer! 👌🏻

This customer wanted to improve the security of their property, so we replaced the existing lock with a high security upgrade.

The new lock was fitted, checked and tested to make sure everything was operating smoothly and securely. A straightforward upgrade, but one that gives the customer that extra bit of reassurance 🏡

🔑 Key safe installation

We were recently called out by a property management company to install a new key safe at one of their properties.

A key safe is a simple and secure way of providing authorised access to a property without the need to hand over keys, making it particularly useful for landlords, property managers and contractors.

The key safe was supplied, installed and checked over to make sure everything was working correctly. 🔐

🔑 Lost garage keys? We can help!

This customer got in touch after losing the keys to their garage. We attended, gained entry and replaced the existing locking unit with a new one. The homeowner was then provided with a fresh set of keys, so they could get back to using their garage and securing it properly again.

We were called out after a customer was having trouble removing her key from the door. After investigating, we found the centre case was faulty and causing the issue.

While carrying out the repair, the customer also mentioned that the door felt draughty, was catching when operating the handle and generally didn’t feel as secure as it should.

We replaced the faulty component and made the necessary adjustments to the door, getting everything lined up and operating smoothly again ✅

Another job completed and another door working as it should! 🙌

Two locks sorted in one visit 🔐

We were contacted by a customer who had accidentally locked themselves out of their utility room after losing their keys. They wanted to regain access and have a new lock fitted while we were there.

We attended, carefully decoded the existing lock to gain entry, then supplied and fitted a brand new replacement lock 🔑

The customer also mentioned that their garage door couldn’t be properly secured, so we took a look at that too. We supplied and fitted a new garage door lock, getting it secure once again.

Two problems, one visit and everything left working and secure 👍🏻

This customer got in touch with us as their handle was feeling really grindy and the door wasn’t locking properly. After having a look, we found the locking system just needed some TLC.

We cleaned and greased the full locking mechanism getting everything moving smoothly again. We also found the door wasn’t sitting correctly, so we made the necessary adjustments to get everything lined up properly.

The customer couldn’t believe how smoothly the door was operating again and said it felt like new! 👍🏻

Sometimes a lock doesn’t need replacing, it just needs the right maintenance and adjustment.

Another happy customer and another job sorted! 😊

Landlord lock change 🔑

We were contacted by a landlord after his tenant had moved out without returning the keys, leaving him unable to access the room.

We attended, gained entry by picking the existing lock, then replaced it with a new lock and supplied the landlord with a fresh set of keys.

Another job sorted and the room secured again 🔐
