🏡 NEW JOB STARTED – 16TH-CENTURY THATCHED COTTAGE, STRATFORD!

Something a little different for us this time, working on this beautiful 16th-century thatched cottage in Stratford. 🔨🏡

Great start today:
🔨 Kitchen and bathroom demolition complete
đźšś All ready for the digger tomorrow
🧱 Foundations being dug
đźš› Concrete to follow

Plenty of work ahead on this one and it’s going to be a cracking transformation, while keeping the character of this amazing old property.

New project underway! 🏡

We’ve started transforming this side entry into a brand new utility room, complete with a new fibreglass roof, a couple of skylights to flood the space with natural light, and new doors and windows to finish it off.

The lads had a cracking first day getting the roof on. Great progress already, and we’re looking forward to showing you the transformation.

A great way to celebrate the end of another successful project! 🥂

A huge thank you to Richard and Sue for taking us all out for a meal to celebrate the completion of their project and to show their appreciation. It’s not something that happens very often, which made the gesture even more special.

Moments like this remind us why we take such pride in what we do. Another project completed to a high standard, another happy customer, and another fantastic relationship built along the way.

Thank you again, Richard and Sue. We truly appreciate your kindness and wish you many happy years enjoying your newly transformed home.

We’re into the finishing stages now and it’s all coming together beautifully. 🏡

The plastering is progressing well, the bathroom is now fully tiled, and all the internal doors have been fitted upstairs and downstairs. The external sliding doors and bi-fold doors are now installed, flooding the extension with natural light.

This Friday we’re fitting the roof lanterns and glass balustrade, and then this fantastic project will be complete. Another transformation we’re proud to hand over!

Concrete floor poured today, the plasterers are on site, the tiler is hard at work, and the windows are being fitted on Tuesday. Everything is coming together exactly as planned, and it’s great to see this project entering its final stages. The finish line is in sight! 🏡💪

Another project entering its final stages! 🏡

The electrical and plumbing first fix is now complete, with plastering starting next week. The glass balustrade is due to be installed on the 31st, and the new bathroom will be fully plumbed and plastered next week, ready for the tiler to work their magic.

Everything is running to schedule, the team is doing a fantastic job, and we’re on track for another great finish.

Another milestone reached! 🧱🏡

The extension is now fully built and we’re ready for the GRP fibreglass roof to be installed tomorrow. We’re now waiting on the sliding glass doors, roof lantern, glass balcony, and for the plumber to complete the next stage.

Everything is progressing exactly to schedule, and it’s all starting to come together. The finish is going to look incredible!

Another great milestone reached. âś…

The brickwork is now complete and everything is ready for the roof to go on Monday. It’s always satisfying seeing a project take shape, and we’re another step closer to the finished result.

Progress is coming thick and fast! 🧱💪

Today we exposed the existing steel… and what an absolute monster it is! It’s far bigger than you’d normally expect for a 4.5m opening, but it’s there, so it has to be raised, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.

The brickwork is going up nicely, and we’re really pleased with how well the new bricks match the existing. Meanwhile, the lads are making light work of the demolition with the breakers, keeping everything moving on schedule.

Every project throws up a few surprises, but that’s all part of the job. We adapt, overcome, and keep pushing forward.

Another productive day on site! đź’Ş

The grab hire has been and cleared away all the debris, leaving the site clean and tidy. The foundations are now fully concreted and ready for the damp course and brickwork to begin on Monday.

After working early starts to beat the heat, we’re looking forward to cooler temperatures and getting back to normal working hours next week.

The project is moving along nicely and staying right on schedule. Keep watching for the next stage! 🧱🏡
