For some reason the aphids love my two Jamaican Jerk plants, why these and not the others on the window sill I don't know. I'll be giving them a spray tomorrow with a mild soapy solution, hopefully that'll clear them up.

FINALLY!! Decking fitted, step renewed, raised bed fitted. Also all the soil turned, all the crap taken out including some strange alien roots I've never seen before, all raked over and chillies potted up and into their final pots...I even planted some french marigolds for a bit of colour and to attract the right kind of insects to gobble up those nasties.

Took me 3 days in total amongst doing a few other things. I'll go back to work tomorrow for a rest 😂

My soil mix for my chillies never really changes year on year...
100 lts of a decent peat free multi purpose compost.
10 lts of Perlite.
10 lts of Vermiculite.
2 good handfuls of blood, fish and bone.

Done!!

I've been very quiet over April but the chillies are still growing but they're still in their 1ltr pots, I just haven't had the time so they'll be behind in growth compared to most years. Been away on holiday with me good lady and Otto and have also started something I should have done last year...the deathtrap decking in me back garden.

Yesterday I ripped out all the old rotten timber including the joists and fitted all the new timber framework. Today I'll hopefully get the new decking and raised beds in and get the chillies into their bigger pots and out into the garden with some nice fresh plants in the mix, no more embarrassing crappy looking garden to film in after this weekend 👍
