A bit of remedial work on this utility/storage room after some previous work someone else had completed left the client wanting to change certain things.

The sections around the utility openings had originally been built in MDF, but with the amount of moisture expected in the room the client wanted those areas removed and replaced. I stripped the MDF off and plasterboard using edge stops around the openings to neatly finish the cut board edges before plastering everything in.

We also removed the existing step/boxing as it wasn’t really fit for purpose and left no clean way of finishing the adjoining wall properly the reveals were not dabbed correctly and all over not leaving equal square edges around the door which made it a pain.

A few walls were then plastered along with the garage side, with everything properly trowelled and finished throughout.

It might only be a utility/storage area+ garage side but the standard stays the same. Two coats and a few trowels.. all corners left neat as they should be no splashes on other surfaces. If my name is going on it, I want it finished properly — whether it’s on show or not. 👌

✔️ Full mesh applied to the window wall due to existing hairline cracks — structurally solid, but better safe than sorry. We don’t want them returning!

For anyone new to the page, I’m Dan — the plasterer behind all the work you see posted on here.
I’m a local tradesman who genuinely takes pride in what I do. From a single ceiling or bedroom to full transformations and external rendering, every job gets the same attention to detail and effort from me.

Another bedroom completed today in Kirkheaton, Huddersfield 📍
I've previously completed work for these clients, and they've returned once again for more clean, crisp plastering work 👌
One of two bedrooms completed today, with everything left clean and tidy ready for their return.
Two coats applied and trowelled correctly, giving the smooth, high-quality finish I pride myself on.
And of course... the 10,000-lumen light test 🔦👀

Here are a few of the jobs we’ve completed the past couple of weeks.
📍 Brighouse
A full living room transformation — fully dry lined, prepared and plastered throughout to a high-quality finish. Take a look at the before & after photos 👀
📍 Ossett
Back to an ongoing project for a valued returning customer, this time completing a good-sized utility room & toilet — again, fully dry lined and plastered throughout.
While I was there, I also managed to grab a few photos of the bedroom we previously plastered now that it’s been fully painted. Always nice to go back and see the finished result!👌

Another room complete 👌 Nice & local for me this time on Queens Drive, Ossett 📍
This one is part of an ongoing project for a valued returning client who has used me numerous times over the years. I’ve been visiting as and when each room is ready and slowly working our way through the property.
And what a room this one is 👀
10 windows, a lovely curved bay flowing all the way around and plenty of detail to get right.
From the preparation and boarding right through to the finished plastering, all completed by myself and now ready for decorating 👌
Really enjoyed completing this one it took a lot more work to make right than it looks on the photos 🔥
Onto the next room now…
