🏡 Insulated Lime Render Project in the Cotswolds

Here’s an update from Phil on one of our current projects in Moreton-in-Marsh, in the Cotswolds.

The existing sand and cement render was failing and cracking, and the homeowner had also been experiencing problems with damp and moisture.

We’ve removed the old render and cleaned the brickwork back before installing a breathable insulated lime render system with wood fibre insulation boards.

The insulation boards are now in place and mechanically fixed back to the masonry. Next, the team will install the beads and prepare the property for the lime base coat, followed later by a breathable silicate finish.

🏡 Four Timber Frame Homes - The Finished Results

Here’s a look at the finished results from a project near Worcester where we rectified the render on four large timber frame homes.

The original render system had failed, so it was removed and replaced with a specialist breathable system suitable for timber frame construction, including the correct exterior render boards, reinforced base coat and mesh, followed by a full silicone render finish.

Each homeowner selected their preferred colour, giving every property its own individual finish.

We recently returned to the development several months after completing the work, and the properties are looking great.

🏡 New EWI Project started in Fernhill Heath, Worcester

We're on site this week starting an external wall insulation project on a bungalow - finishing with a silicone render for a clean, low-maintenance exterior.

First day's always about getting the groundwork right: windows, doors and the surrounding area all protected before anything else happens.

We're also stripping off the old plastic cladding from the front and rear gables and taking the insulation right up to the roofline, so the whole property ends up with one consistent rendered finish.

🏡 A Closer Look at Our Colwall Project

Following on from our recent video, here are some of the finished photos from this property in Colwall, at the foot of the Malvern Hills.

The failing sand and cement render was removed before we installed a breathable wood fibre insulation system, followed by a traditional lime render and breathable painted finish.

To retain the character of the property, we also installed brick slips around the porch and beneath the windows, recreating some of the original detailing while giving the home a fresh new appearance.
