Can you believe it…we have nearly 52,000 Members on our Facebook Group…and still growing! 🌱

What started as a community for Irish growers, gardeners and polytunnel owners has grown into one of the largest gardening-focused Facebook groups in Ireland.
We’re incredibly proud that the D-Plant Facebook community is now approaching 51,000 members.

From first-time growers asking questions, to experienced gardeners sharing advice, photos, successes (and the odd setback!), the group has become a genuinely helpful space for people growing across Ireland.

June is here, and there’s still plenty of time to plant for a summer harvest.

With warmer soil, longer days and better growing conditions, this is a great week to get moving in the garden.

Here’s what you can plant now:

🥕 CarrotsSow directly outdoors in short rows for a steady crop later in the season.

🥒 CourgettesPlant out hardened-off young plants in a sunny, sheltered spot and keep them well watered.

🥬 Salad cropsLettuce, rocket and radish are quick wins, ideal for repeat sowing every couple of weeks.

If you’re only getting started, don’t worry; June is still a brilliant time to grow. Start small, keep it simple and focus on crops that give results quickly.
