// High-rise residential, 2026

A high-rise penthouse in Phnom Penh reimagined as a quiet sanctuary above the city, where contemporary luxury unfolds in soft restraint. Warm, incandescent light drifts across textured surfaces and gently curved walls, dissolving edges into a cocoon of calm. Deep brown and black tones anchor bespoke furnishings, while custom artworks and layered natural elements bring a curated stillness to the space. Subtly hotel-like yet deeply personal, the interior becomes an intimate composition of shadow, warmth, and material richness—an elevated retreat of discreet, enduring elegance.

Shaped by existing structural constraints, the project transforms the space into a cohesive and functional café layout. A defined storefront, generous glass openings, and strategic zoning of seating enhance both street connection and user experience, while the bar placement anchors circulation. The interior adopts a Japandi-inspired approach with warm wood finishes, soft lighting, and custom joinery, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere.

// Commercial, F&B, 2026

The project reimagines a semi-outdoor pub with a fixed exposed I-steel column into an open rooftop concept. The existing layout was fully reconfigured, preserving only the primary steel structure. By positioning the rooftop as the centerpiece, the design negotiates climatic challenges with lightweight protective elements, preserving openness while fostering a dynamic and resilient space.

បេតុងនិងធម្មជាតិ | Concrete Jungle: Between Raw Form and Canopy, A Workplace Reimagined

Exposed, raw, and intentionally unfinished, the building embraces a bold brutalist language—where visible structure, raw concrete, and industrial details define its identity. This restrained palette sets the stage for a jungle-inspired office and coworking environment. At its core, a dramatic atrium garden anchors the space, flooded with light from above and filled with lush vegetation and large trees. Curved bench seating is integrated into the landscape, allowing users to work, read, or pause within a refreshing, immersive setting.

Radiating from this central oasis, the café offers a bright and inviting atmosphere, shaped by abundant natural light, glass blocks, and soft curved elements. Large windows enhance its openness, making it ideal for casual meetings or quiet breaks. Nearby, a communal lounge introduces a more playful tone, with sofas, bean bags, and shared spaces designed for relaxing and social interaction.

For deeper focus, a dedicated library provides a quieter retreat with varied seating—from secluded corners to group tables. Together, these spaces balance raw materiality with softness and greenery, creating a cohesive workplace that supports productivity, community, and calm.

គម្រោងរចនាហាងកាហ្វេនិងភោជនីយដ្ឋាន | Milo: Savor the Art of Dining, an Experience Shaped by Design and Detail

Shaped by the complexities of the site’s structural conditions—namely an existing concrete column and a newly installed I-steel beam—the project resolves spatial challenges through deliberate planning and is transformed into a harmonious spatial arrangement that supports practical functionality, creating an inviting setting suitable for social brunch gatherings and casual café visits.

A wooden awning featuring the store logo defines the storefront, providing daytime shading while establishing a clear visual identity. The façade is articulated with glossy, mixed brown-hued subway-tiled columns and large operable glass openings that introduce natural light and strengthen the connection between interior spaces and the street. Inside, the seating configuration is carefully developed to accommodate diverse user groups, offering varied dining experiences within a unified layout. Seating is organized into distinct zones—group tables, family banquettes, and two-seater arrangements—shaped by existing site conditions, with faux columns and beams integrated to visually balance the space and harmonize surrounding structural elements. Responding to the fixed position of the I-steel column, the bar counter is positioned near the entrance to define a clear arrival point and promote smooth circulation throughout the layout.

The overall spatial character is informed by a Japandi-inspired concept layered with contemporary eclectic influences, creating a refined yet approachable dining experience. Warm, medium-toned, uniform-grain teak wood laminate serves as the primary finish, featuring a fine-grain surface with subtle linear patterns expressed through exposed framing and delicate grooves that add depth and craftsmanship. Soft ambient lighting enhances material textures and surfaces, cultivating a calm and understated atmosphere conducive to both dining and social interaction. Custom-designed joinery—including tables, cabinetry, and customized family banquette seating—reinforces the consistent design language, contributing to a harmonious and well-integrated interior.

គម្រោងរចនារង្គសាល | Rumor Phnom Penh: Sleek Bar Transformation on Bassac Lane

The project underwent a complete makeover on Bassac Lane, giving it a sleek and immersive bar experience. The exterior combines textured dark stone panels with an extruded walnut wood entrance, highlighted by illuminated signage. The front area features landscaped greenery on one side, casual stools on the other, and arced stone pathing leading to the entrance.

Inside, a nearly 9-meter-long main counter anchors the ground floor, supported by a DJ booth, alcohol display, and performance stage. Wood cladding on walls, columns, faux columns, and beams creates visual anchor points throughout the bar—both horizontally and vertically—while adding warmth to the dark, textured palette. Seating ranges from bar stools and lounge areas to pair and group arrangements. Dimmable lighting, neon signs, and light boxes are synchronized with music for a lively, immersive vibe.

The first floor offers a more intimate experience while remaining connected to the energy below. Lounge and pair seating surround an open slab cutout, letting guests gather along the handrails to overlook the DJ booth. The space combines comfort, style, and energy, inviting patrons to relax, socialize, and enjoy memorable moments.
