🚨 Blair is abandoning us! 🚨

From Monday–Wednesday next week, Blair is swapping engineering for SCHOOL CAMP DAD duties 🏕️ He’ll have no access to his phone, so if you’ve got an urgent job, strange request or engineering conundrum that “only Blair knows about” - sort it out this week!

Logan and Rodney will be holding the fort in the workshop.

Over in Horrell Engineering Supplies, you’re stuck with Mel.

Her qualifications include:
🔩 Can identify a bolt *most* of the time
⚙️ Knows bearings are round
💳 Excellent EFTPOS skills
🤷‍♀️ Expert at saying “Blair will be back Thursday”

For best results, please bring a sample, a photo… or your own engineering knowledge. 😂

Normal Blair-based services resume Thursday!

After plenty of planning, shifting stock and setting up shelves, our dedicated engineering supplies store is officially open for business!

You’ll find our huge range of fasteners, bearings, sprockets, chain, steel and engineering supplies all in one place. Most importantly, we’re open to everyone. Tradies, farmers, businesses, home handymen… come on in!

Opening the store is a pretty special way to mark 75 years of Horrell Engineering - celebrating where we’ve come from while investing in what comes next.

It’s maths week at school and our chief pulley painter decided to dress up as her Dad again - maybe the pink hats will have to become part of the uniform!

After a series of fortunate coincidences, Netherby School has its original school sign back at its front gate. It was bought online. Principal Phil Wheeler said the sign, likely to be the original Ministry of Education school sign from 1959, has brought with it a feeling of nostalgia and excitement....
