It's been so cold here the last few weeks and a hard frost this morning. Although sales have slowed down a bit lately, it's always a great time for planning and sitting in a warmer place. A few interesting photos to follow - perhaps ideas for later on.

Campanulas available in the nursery. Message me for more information or go to the mail order website.

Campanula ‘Fleur de Neige’ - To 90 cms. Long spikes of double white flowers in summer. Sun to part shade. Winter dormant.

Campanula persicifolia - single deep purply blue, tall variety. 5 pieces.

Campanula persicifolia alba - To 90 cms. Large, single white bells. Clump forming. Sun or light shade.

Campanula punctata ‘Milky Way’ - To 50 cms. Nodding, bell-shaped flowers on red stems. Clump forming foliage. Large, light pink flowers have a double skirt and spotted throat. Light shade, moist well-drained soil. (No Photo as yet)

Campanula rotundifolia - (Bluebells of Scotland). To 25 cms. Graceful, nodding, mauve-purple bells in early summer. Ideal for edging, containers and rock gardens. Sun.

Campanula ‘Van Houtei’ (Mystic Bells) - 60 cms. Pretty, clump forming ground cover for sunny area. Constant abundance of large mid blue flowers from late spring to autumn. Trim after flowering for repeat flowerings. Large pots.

I have been doing a bit of advertising and there is more to come. I see many people are placing orders to get what they want before i run out of many of my plant varieties. It's a great time to do this. I am downsizing or selling the nursery stock. I have some good specials in my catalogue and on site. Groups are welcome by arrangement. I have been quite busy with customers visiting and it is always nice to welcome them and help them where possible. Please contact me through the website or by phone if you need any more information. Have had lots of lovely customers in over the holidays. If you wish to visit the nursery, it is best to contact me just to make sure I am home. Groups are welcome by arrangement. As I am downsizing, many lines are selling out and will be unavailable in the future. I stock a lot of the more unusual perennials, many of which are hard to find in NZ. I am finding I have more time for the garden and others things which is quite nice after 33 years with 'nursery life'. Although I love the nursery, it is time for some changes. Many nurseries have been closing down in the last few years so we are losing great suppliers. This may mean that you will mainly be shopping at the larger shops and garden centres in the future. It's been a busy month in the nursery and plants are flying out the door. I am running out of many lines of perennials and not replacing some so be in quick for your favourites. Hi everyone. My sale has gone very well and there have been a lot of people in from around Dunedin and south as well. I have sold out of many lines quite fast. My downsizing is going along nicely. Spring is just around the corner but it's been nice to see those early spring bulbs in flower. It makes it all look more cheerful. I have sent my catalogues out and updated the website so it is all good to go. Some lines have sold out already. Please contact me if you have queries with orders. I will post some nice photos when i get time. It's been a little hectic trying to tidy plants and update catalogues. Hope you are getting some nicer days and can get some gardening done. Regards.
