A warm, carefully detailed space designed in collaboration with Renee from for .co.nz

The joinery is finished in Shinnoki Pure Walnut Veneer, giving the room depth and grounded walnut tones. Kayo Olive Gloss Mosaic wraps the back bench and upstand in a striking focal point for the kitchen, introducing contrast while keeping the palette balanced. The Strata Argentum Porcelain island top from .anz forms the central feature, echoing the rendered wall surrounds and offering a durable surface that closely recalls natural marble.

Clean geometry, concealed storage, and a considered blend of natural finishes shape a crisp, cohesive environment for this industrial workplace kitchen.

In this family kitchen renovation, we worked together with our clients to reimagine a layout that was more practical, with improved storage solutions and generous open spaces. Integrated appliances completed the design, giving the kitchen a seamless, refined look that balances functionality and style. A downdraft hob was selected in place of a traditional rangehood, keeping sightlines clear and ensuring the kitchen feels open and uncluttered.

The original mataī timber flooring was carefully restored, and we carried this natural warmth on with custom floating mataī shelves with integrated LED lighting. These details tie the materials together and bring an inviting glow to the space.

To maximise the layout, we designed a built-in bench seat with clever storage underneath. It provides a practical place to tuck away items while also creating a cosy spot to sit and gather.
