Popular Question asked - When to Winterize Your Pool?

Winterize your pool at the start of autumn, around April to May when the water temperature drops to 16°C to prevent algae growth.

Steps to Winterize Your Pool:
Clean the Pool: Remove leaves, debris, and dirt. Skim, brush, and vacuum the pool to keep it in good condition.

Balance the Water: Check and adjust the pH (7.2-7.6) and alkalinity (80-120 ppm) to ensure proper water balance.

Shock the Pool: Super-chlorinate the pool to kill bacteria and algae before closing it for the season.

Add Algon Winterizer: Add an Algon Winterizer to help prevent algae growth and keep the water clean during the off-season.

Check the Pump and Filter: Run the pump on a lower setting or for about 4 hours a day to prevent stagnation.

By following these steps, your pool will be ready for the winter and easy to clean when summer returns.
