Water damage can go unnoticed for years. It can cause mold and even structural damage. The scuppered (gutter catchment) had a tiny little crack where water was entering our customers home. It's almost unbelievable because you couldn't even notice it before we started, but the customer noticed a tiny bit of water damage on the inside of the house. It turned out that whole corner of the building was failing and had to be torn apart and rebuilt. The siding was a custom Hardie Board with a bevel that had to be ordered weeks in advance. We squeaked in between rainstorms back in December.
