Even 15 years ago, the Mosin-Nagant was a dime a dozen. Ammo was cheap, and the rifles themselves could still be found for around $100.

Now that pricing has nearly quadrupled and the surplus has dried up, we don’t see nearly as many of them come through the shop.

It’s been a few years since we mounted a PU scope for a customer, so getting to do this one was a fun reminder of what surplus used to be — affordable, available, and everywhere.

Old military rifles have a story, and we still enjoy helping customers keep them shooting.

A reminder to all of our turkey hunters—make sure you’re removing and cleaning your choke tubes regularly.

They can get so carbon locked that they end up like this. In some cases, we have to TIG weld a steel rod to them just to get enough leverage to remove them.

Thankfully, we can often do it without damaging camo dipped barrels.

The queen turns 50 today! We will be closing at 6:30 to celebrate the one that keeps our heads on straight.
