Planning a remodel? Before choosing the tile, paint color, or furniture, there are a few important decisions to make first.
I get so many questions about where to start and what steps to consider when planning a remodel.
Two of the biggest pieces are **budget and timing**. Having a realistic plan from the beginning can make the entire remodeling process much smoother and help prevent costly surprises along the way.
But there’s another part that I believe is just as important: **YOU.**
Your home shouldn’t be a copy-and-paste version of what’s trending everywhere else.
Every person has a different lifestyle, taste, daily routine, functional needs, and idea of what makes them feel comfortable and at home. That’s why I believe good design should be personal—created around the people who actually live in the space, with both function and well-being in mind.
In this Q&A, I’m sharing some of the first steps to consider when planning your remodel—even if you decide to take on the process yourself.
And if you work with Maya’s Design Studio? We guide you through these decisions and the details from the beginning, so you don’t have to figure it all out alone.
More remodeling Q&A is coming—because this is only the beginning.
