With 23-acres in Benson, we are growing to become a community center and have great plans for the future! As a child in Germany, I spent summers helping my grandparents on their farm feeding animals and attending the fields. I was a military kid and my father was in the Army for 26 years and I, who wanted to see a different part of the world, joined the Navy. Both my Family and the Navy taught me
about honor, integrity and commitment to achieve and complete anything I set my mind to. In 2006, I saw an opportunity to start my business when I purchased 200 strawberry plants for my garden. What started as a small backyard operation turned into a 23-acre community project. Some of our projects we are currently working on: Nature/Exercise and Harvest Trail, outdoor entertainment and kids activities, a CSA and Growers Program, classes, and insight on homesteading and sustainability. We invite local entrepreneurs in the area to come grow with us. Handpicked Nursery's goal is to create a space for the community to experience, educate, and enjoy.
