Nu Interiors

Nu Interiors Award Winning Interior Design Studio I California & New Jersey I Renovations I Kitchens I Bathrooms Form and function meet comfort in every Nu Interiors space.

The home should be a balance of openness, light, and beauty combined with great functional needs like organization and storage for everyday living. By listening to the needs of my clients, I combine these elements to find the ultimate in an aesthetically pleasing, yet livable space, even in the smallest of rooms. I'm Nureed Saeed– Owner and Designer. I've spent 15 years in fashion cultivating my t

aste by working with luxury brands such as Cartier, Ferragamo, Montblanc, Carolina Herrera, Chopard, Alexis Bittar, as well as household names including Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Kenneth Cole and Greg Norman. As a designer I combine great taste with affordability — good design needs to be accessible, especially when it involves the home. A designer, and design, needs to be approachable and appreciate the needs and desires of the people living in a particular space. My design process involves partnering with my clients in an open, collaborative atmosphere. As a mother of three, I know first hand what it means to have to balance a busy life with a growing family, and what it means to have a home that not only works for my family but —at the end of the day— also feels like an oasis of calm.

August brought three big wins and I’m honored: Best of Oakland in Interior Design,KBDN Best Bathroom (Bronze), and NKBA NorCal Best Small Bathroom (3rd place). Different categories, same throughline — spaces built to feel right years from now, not just win the photo. Grateful to every client who trusted me with their home along the way and to the judges who saw the vision.

No walls moved — just better flow, better light, and materials chosen to age well, not just photograph well. This is why I always start with function before finishes. It’s slower up front and it’s the reason these rooms still feel right years later.

Before Nu Interiors, I spent 15 years in fashion — buying, product development, licensing, brand management for names like Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole and more.

Fashion taught me about quality, taste, but also how to read a person fast — their style, their comfort, what makes them feel like themselves. Listening to the consumer was key.

Interiors is the same just a bigger canvas. That’s still the first thing I do with every client: listen before I design.

I don’t love the word “trend”. Trends expire, good design doesn’t. But I will say this: after a few years of cool, quiet palettes, I’m seeing (and designing) more warmth again. Not because it’s having a moment, but because warm tones age well and feel like home longer than a gray box ever will. That’s the actual test I use, not “is it in,” but “will you still love it in ten years.”

In true form, I was living in the incredible moments and knowledge that CPMG Events provided to all of those who attended Design Point to be bothered with photos. This is all I got BUT there is a lot missing.

Meaningful and Soul filling Connections ✔️

Powerful and conversation starting programming ✔️

Eye opening and business changing knowledge ✔️

Gorgeous backdrop ✔️

A stomach ache from the amount of laughter and love I received ✔️

Thank you to my dear friend and rock star designer Julee Ireland for including me in this wonderful panel about “What Luxury Means to Design today” - you moderated the heck out of this topic.

I cannot express how much fun I had talking to my friends Sarah Robertson | Studio Dearborn | Kitchen Design and Studio Garrison on stage and off stage. These two are absolute powerhouses and I was truly honored to be in their company.

Last to my friends NKBA - well done - more of this please.

abc7newsbayarea just published a report about how the AI boom is giving a giant boom to the real estate market in the Bay.

The truth is, a kitchen remodel in the Bay Area is a significant investment. When done right, it’s also one of the most meaningful investments you can make in your home. Check out a full breakdown of what to expect in my latest edition of Nuness, the blog by Nu Interiors, with the link in the bio ⬆️.

Nureed Saeed as seen in House Beautiful

Talking about how your house number is not a detail to overlook.

House numbers might be the status quo, but you can always spell out your address for an unexpected edge. When written in an ultra-sleek sans serif font, like the one designer Nureed Saeed used here, your home’s exterior will ooze midcentury modern vibes. “The actual style name of these house letters by Modern House Numbers is called Palm Springs,” the Berkeley, California designer says, which cements the home’s design style. “By spelling out the number as a word instead of applying it as a simple number, we added to the modern style of the home while also giving the large white space above the garage some much-needed balance.”
