I’m still learning about stoneware and have only owned a few pieces but this 5 gallon jug caught my eye. It has a salt glaze with cobalt blue decorative “bee sting” design on the front and turkey droppings. No chips or cracks. 18” tall and it weights 23 lbs. Available now.

Wonderful gold pinstriped flat file cabinet/ map drawers once belonging to a post office. Heavy duty and reassuringly heavy. C.1920s. Measuring 49” tall x 33” wide x 25” deep. One brass handle is missing but easily replaced and fully functional as is. Available now.

While rummaging through a stable this week I almost overlooked a needle in a haystack. It goes to show you that you need to buy what’s there and not what you’re hoping to find. This Uhl Toledo heavy gauge steel cart is the first I’ve ever seen in the flesh. It dates to the 1920s and the vast majority of its brothers and sisters were scrapped either when their factory closed or during the WWII metal drives. This one is going to stay in the private collection. Thanks for looking. See you tomorrow between 12-5pm. 🙏

This week was especially fun. After digging inside a stable we pulled out several incredible pieces including this oak springs cabinet, dating to the early part of the 20th century. All the drawer hardware is original and the interior partitions are numbered. Available now.
