Design is the practice of creativity with constraints, as exemplified by the Davies Residence.

We embraced the uniqueness of this lot as we looked to create a cohesive composition of structures that feel considered and connected. The site plan balances the lot size with our clients’ goals, shaping a layered, multi-structure retreat through careful placement. And boy, does it glow at twilight ✨

Civic projects remind us that design can be a form of community stewardship.

These buildings belong to everyone. They’re spaces where people work, gather, serve, and sometimes sacrifice. We don't take that responsibility lightly, and we approach every one of them with the same intention we'd bring to someone's home. Because in many ways, that's exactly what they are.

Scale 🤝 Proportion. These two design elements are easy to talk about and hard to get right.

This Port Royal Residence is a quiet study in both. Cedar shake siding, a standing seam metal roof, arched entry, and warm wood carriage doors come together to create a facade that feels considered from every angle. Coastal without being casual. Classic without being stiff.

The Waterway House at Palmetto Bluff was designed as a private retreat: unhurried, welcoming, and anchored by sweeping views of the inland.

An organic, neutral palette layered with natural textures does the heavy lifting. Vasari plaster walls, reclaimed wood beams, and steel doors create a sense of character. And the kitchen? It earned the 2024 Luxe RED Award for Best Kitchen in the Southeast. This is understated luxury at its finest.

A Lowcountry cottage designed for creatives, by creatives. ✨

Looking back on the Artist Cottage at Palmetto Bluff, we’re inspired by the creative spirit that this home carries long after the program’s end. An organic color palette, blonde oak floors, painted nickel-joint wood walls, brick accents, and open trusses came together to create something unpretentious, deeply inviting, and quietly inspiring.

When a scenic lakefront lot on St. Simons Island, Georgia, came across our desk, we simply couldn’t say no.

We had the honor of designing this stately Southern Colonial home alongside the incredibly talented interior designer Kim Scodro Interiors. Together, we crafted a home that feels as if it's always been there. Classically trained on the outside, with a beautifully layered, welcoming spirit within.
