Color isn’t about being bold. It’s about being deliberate.
 
In this 1875 Greek Revival, color moves from room to room without ever matching exactly. The pink of the entry hall returns in the study, deepened to burgundy. In some spaces, color carries the room. In others, it appears as a single accent.
 
Each room has its own identity, but the palette creates a quiet connection throughout the house.
 
Collected, not assembled.

Some of my favorite work happens before anything is installed.
 
Materials begin to tell the story of a room: how stone will meet cabinetry, how finishes will relate to one another, where texture can add depth, and how the palette will move throughout the space.
 
This is where the details start to come together and where the overall feeling of a project begins to take shape.

I fell for the architecture. The character. An 1875 Greek Revival, the high ceilings, the staircase, the potential curb appeal. What came with it was a dysfunctional kitchen and dated bathrooms, and a porch and front steps that needed to be rebuilt. I could make it my own.

We’re Hiring – Studio Coordinator (Part-Time)

Mandarina Studio is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Studio Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of a boutique residential interior design practice.

The role works closely with the Principal across all projects and studio operations, with a focus on procurement, project coordination, and studio organization.

Part-time (15–20 hours/week), in-person in Boston.
