The Layered Life was created around the candid business conversations its founders wish they had access to earlier in their careers, making this a fitting place to begin Icons of Influence. Sometimes you have to take something apart to understand what makes it valuable.

To celebrate Hickory Chair’s return to the Boston Design Center through M Geough, Federico Contigiani, President of Hickory Chair, led a live chair deconstruction that revealed the craftsmanship, materials and construction hidden beneath the upholstery.

The afternoon continued with Nancy Berry, Editor in Chief of Northshore Home and President of ICAA New England, for a conversation about quality, longevity and what truly makes a piece worth investing in.
