In the spirit of Pride Month, BBR is in search of instructors who identify as LGBTQ+ to join our community of educators!

Details:
💰Compensation available for 2 or 4 hour workshops
🏳️‍🌈 Dates in June are flexible! (Time slots include: Fridays from 6-8 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM- 2 PM or 11 AM - 1 PM)
🛠️Topics open to ALL TRADES plus Woodworking, Reupholstery, Mending Textiles, Household Maintenance, and more!
🖌️Salvaged or Reused Art Forms welcome (Collage, Painting Found Objects, Sculpture, etc.)

Want to instruct, but aren't available in June? No problem! We are always looking for new folks to join us and are glad to work with your schedule!

Boston Building Resources (BBR) has partnered with the City of Boston's Environment Department to lead the city's upcoming Building Material Reuse Study. As the first-of-its-kind program in Boston, this research initiative aims to "reduce building demolition waste, provide builders with high-quality reused construction materials, and help Boston achieve its carbon neutrality and zero waste goals."

According to the Boston Globe, the study "could be the first step toward a construction materials reuse ordinance for buildings of a certain size or age in Boston."

With over 30 years of experience in building deconstruction and material reuse through our Reuse Center in Roxbury Crossing, BBR is committed to working with the City of Boston toward a net zero future.

The Wu administration has hired the nonprofit Boston Building Resources to study how to reuse unwanted materials in deconstruction and demolition projects.

BBR's Earth Day Party is almost here!

Come celebrate Earth Day with us this Saturday, April 25 from 11AM–2PM. Free, family-friendly, and packed with things to actually do: live music, tie-dye, a plant and seed swap, free food, and a dragonfly sculpture workshop using salvaged ceiling fan blades and knewl posts!

Also new this year: we're raffling off composters and rain barrels — over $1,000 in garden prizes! Raffle tickets are $5, announced between music sets, and you have to be there to win.
