Charming historic antique home from 1854 in the heart of Old Town Marblehead that underwent an amazing transformation using Marsh Cabinets from North Carolina.
Matt Gambale and his team completed all the carpentry work. The demo exposed the full natural beauty of the ceiling beams and also that amazing brick wall behind the sink!
We designed the kitchen to fit as much cabinetry (and room for the stackable washer & dryer!!) as possible for this wonderful homeowner we so enjoyed working with.
Using Marsh’s new painted finish called “Cashmere” for the long functional wall, it followed the charm and beauty of the home and complimented the original floors. Then he chose another new finish called “Lagoon” for the island which fits the space so nicely and offers a comfortable place to sit and talk when guests are over!
To top it off (yes this space allowed us a good amount of space for storage!) we added a double stacked upper cabinet pantry unit behind the island, suspended off the floor to avoid original framework, that provides all sorts of space for dry goods and more.
We had a lot of fun with this project, from triple checking how it would all work to carrying cabinets down the street to get access, it was unique and rewarding and now shows so beautifully! 🤍

A timeless, coastal antique home with a perfectly specified kitchen in Marblehead’s historic district. While the house’s angles posed challenges, the creative team at Walter Jacob Architects set us all in the right direction for this major home renovation.
The team with Joe Canova Construction did great work and executed this space beautifully with our inset cabinetry from Shiloh. The homeowner selected a “Polar” painted finish on Maple with a classic sharp edge Shaker door. The amazing green island is “Chrome Green” by Benjamin Moore. Look at how it stands out with that butcher block wood top!
The wonderful homeowners use, cook, and live in this kitchen, making a wonderful personal statement with it. I can smell the pizza 🍕 cooking now! Enjoy! ⚓️🤍

Coastal charm at it’s finest with Shiloh Beaded Inset cabinetry finished in Ben Moore Amsterdam. The lift up door for hidden microwave and single glass door cabinet add great personal touches. This kitchen is the perfect blend of style and function. The refrigerator is flanked by matching width tall cabinets and there is even a utility room behind a pocket door! That utility room area hosts additional cabinet & counter storage plus the washer and dryer area. Look at those reeded doors to compliment but simply offset from the kitchen! We had a great time designing and planning this kitchen with the lovely and lively owners. I’m sure they will enjoy this space for many years to come!

Impressive, classic and timeless kitchen in Marblehead with the team at Joly Building & Remodeling. The homeowners had a clear vision for maintaining and improving their existing space, and they also wanted to extend their kitchen into an area leading onto the porch. This allowed us to add tall vertical storage and a new 6’ upper and lower section of cabinetry for storage and entertaining. The perimeter cabinetry is done by Shiloh with a “Soft White” finish.
They did all “flush mount” appliances with Beach Sales (wall ovens, microwave) and we even added a 27” wide x 6” deep tall storage cabinet to the left of the wall ovens for glasses, water bottles, and more!
To further cap off this classic style kitchen the homeowners chose walnut wood with a natural finish for their island done by Shiloh Cabinetry. The trash base faces out towards the stove and we did a custom height drawer box by Eagle Woodworking for the vertical tray storage. The island really stands out, pulls it all together, and makes for a beautiful centerpiece where the family and friends gather for meals and conversation.
Don’t miss the extension of cabinetry into the mudroom in this home! We always love being asked to incorporate this space as an extension of the project. The same cabinetry from the kitchen was used top and bottom and a walnut wood top to match the island was incorporated. This space showcases custom height tall doors with closet rods inside for jackets and backpacks, and custom cubbies at the bottom with caning done by The Wicker Witch Gabrielle Burgess.
This project was done with a lot of detail and passion and will be enjoyed by this wonderful family for years to come!
