The list of people who made an immediate impact on me from NW Flower & Garden Festival 2026 could be miles long.

Becoming besties with PlantCon International ®, falling instantly in love with A farmer (Venise) & a bartender (Belinda) grow drink syrups and Ocean Made , Kylee Lindor | Blooms & Bakes 🌼🧁 and Kendall’s Greenhouse and ReSprout all trying to figure out how something was irrigated. learning from Maria Zampini , meeting Casa Portal for the first time in person, sitting next to Rizaniño "Riz" Reyes at a dinner, dinner with Tabar Gifford and Cullen Boudreaux, being lovingly roasted by Seed Guy|Urban Gardener|Community Gardener for cucumber growing in February. I was about to start tagging everyone I met in the speakers lounge and loved, but I fear this list would go on FOREVER.

I am counting down the milliseconds to this event and I hope to see you there too.

First Frost Blues: that feeling of sadness when your first frost in the garden marks the end of growing warm weather crops. Seeing my dahlias and zinnias this morning made me so, deeply sad.

I know it’s the circle of life and this is part of nature, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t mourning my plants when I walked through the garden today.
