Going to be a full day of fall yall 🍁🍂🎃

If you have not tried this BBQ yet… they casually won best in WNC. But it’s just the best in general.
Awesome people. Awesome atmosphere. Folks here just looking to connect with people no matter who you are or what color t-shirt you’re wearing that day. It’s all good.

Come check out Oktoberfest, smokehouse style, at Big Mikes BBQ in Mills River on October 24th 🤘prizes, games, and food you simply can’t put back down.

Weathervane does furniture too... LOTS of furniture and custom builds. Don't believe me.. just take a look at our photos posted over the years. This here, is a solid maple entertainment center we installed at College Walk. That TV fits like machined metal! 👌
We were asked last week if we still do furniture and art installations... of course we do.. it's just that recently, we've been focused on the licensed side of the business building houses.

Check out this steel framing going in up in Lake Toxaway! 🙌
This will be one of the most photogenic projects ever when it’s finished.
And this is just the outside!

Structural repairs at their finest 👌

If you look closely, you’ll notice that the floor joists here had nothing holding them up except old school ledgers that were ultimately failing over their lifetime.

This floor system is under the main living area. It was sagging and would bounce when walked across.. and it’s about to get more weight added with the Ditra-heat system and large panel tile layout above. It needs to be solid.

So -

- We jacked the center up to remove the weight off the door header
- built temporary walls to support each joist involved
- cut each joist back 1-1/2”
- slid new, solid support sticks in
- and properly fastened them for a solid hold with Simpson Strong-Tie hangers
💪

Just getting warmed up here at this project making sure the bones are good before we start getting fancy 😎

This is going to be one for the magazines!

Check out these upgrades to this sharp, cozy artist retreat in Connestee Falls. This project was one of the most positive work experiences I have ever had in my life. From start to finish.

What you don’t see in these photos are the HUGE (maximum size) Ditra-heat system in the sunroom floor.. if you’ve ever walked into a room with this type of heat, you know you did 🔥

Premium Louvered Kitchen Cabinets with beautiful stainless appliances.. along with a Hybrid laundry bath space for storing and cleaning art supplies…

All an artist needs for cutting the world out and searching for happy accidents 🎨🖌️

This will be house number 5 on this same little loop 👍 first one being almost ten years ago! The first job we had here was where my entrepreneurial journey began!
