to a massive design win in Castle Pines! 🏡🔙

We love it when a design meeting comes together perfectly. On this project from the archives, we were picking out stone for the fireplace, carpet for the stairs, and prepping for cabinet painting. But the real victory was the flooring!

The clients fell in love with a specific floor color, but their floorplan was very complex. If we used a standard floating floor, we would have had to install clunky thresholds in every doorway to prevent expansion joints from buckling. Instead, we sourced a commercial-grade glue-down floor in the exact same color.

It gave them the seamless, threshold-free look they wanted, with industrial-level durability. We love solving these design puzzles! 🏔️🧩

It’s , and we have a very important question: Do you want the contractor who looks like a million bucks... or the one who actually finishes the job? 🏗️🤔

We’ve all seen the "influencer" version of construction—gold-plated tools, tuxedos in the mud, and popping champagne in a kitchen that’s still missing its lower cabinets. It looks great for the feed, but it doesn't do much for your plumbing.

At Front Range Home Services, we’re usually too covered in drywall dust for a tuxedo, but at least our projects actually have a finish line.

The Question: What’s the most "over-the-top" thing you’ve seen a contractor do that had absolutely nothing to do with fixing the house? Let’s hear it below! 👇

Construction is 90% skill and 10% waiting for the delivery truck! 🏡🛠️

Update from Lone Tree: We are so close to the finish line on this one. The space looks beautiful, and that unique ceiling feature is a total standout. We’re currently waiting on our interior doors to arrive so we can officially close off the rooms and wrap up.

Delays are part of the game, but keeping the project moving with carpet scheduled for next week ensures we don’t lose momentum. 🏔️

Goodbye 1972, hello 2026! 🏡🛠️

Progress report from our Lone Tree project! We’ve officially finished the framing for the new living room wall and we’re mid-transformation on the finishes.

One of my favorite parts of this job is showing homeowners how much a simple color change can impact a room. We traded the old funky wallpaper and "purple" bathroom for a warm tan that makes the entire house feel twice as big. 🏔️ Next up: covering that vintage tile with beautiful new vinyl plank floors!

You know that moment you walk into a room mid-renovation and it looks like total chaos?

Drywall dust everywhere. Texture fresh on the walls. Nothing quite finished yet.

Here's the thing — we've been doing this long enough that we already see the finished room before the paint even hits the wall. That's not magic, that's just experience.

This Aurora home had some seriously heavy popcorn ceilings. The kind that made the whole room feel 10 years older than it needed to. Fresh orange peel texture throughout, primed and painted tomorrow — and it's already looking like a whole new space.

Quick tip if you're thinking about new flooring: you do NOT always have to tear out what's already there.

Vinyl plank with a foam backing can float right over existing tile — and when you go with 100% waterproof vinyl (not composite wood, not "water-resistant"), it lays flat, holds up long-term, and handles anything a laundry room can throw at it.

We pick ours up at Floor and Decor and we stand behind it. If a product says composite wood or only claims water resistance, we pass. So should you.

Small decision. Big difference.

The shelf we tore out? Built by the homeowner's stepdad.

That's not just wood and screws. That's history. We took the demo seriously because of it.

Now the subfloor is repaired, the ceiling is textured, and this space is ready to become something worth keeping.

Sometimes a renovation isn't just about what's new — it's about honoring what came before.

They say you should never ask a contractor about their hobbies unless you have a few hours to talk about "load-bearing surprises" and "permit nightmares." 😅

Welcome to the first ! We’re kicking off this segment to share a little mid-week laugh about the beautiful chaos of construction. This list is basically our version of a "relaxing day at the office."

From crawlspace horrors to electrical gremlins, we’ve seen it all—and we’re still smiling (mostly because of the coffee).

The Question: If your house had a "Warning Label" for the next person who walked in, what would it say? Let’s hear the funniest ones in the comments! 👇

Here's something most people don't think about mid-renovation: before your final coat of paint goes on, you need to do a full dust sweep — walls, floors, cabinets, all of it.

Construction dust is sneaky. It settles into fresh paint and kills the finish. We replaced the floor paper, cleaned the whole space, and THEN we paint tomorrow.

Small step. Big difference in the final product.

This Littleton kitchen is almost ready for its reveal — green cabinets, farmhouse sink, under-cabinet lighting and all.

It’s closing week in Parker! 🏠🛠️

There’s a special kind of pride in walking back into a home and seeing the full transformation. When we started here, every room was a different color and the floors had that heavy orange tint from decades ago.

By refining the floors to their natural beauty and unifying the paint, we’ve given this home a second life. We’re currently finishing up a few minor items from the inspection report to make sure the new owners move into a perfect space next week. 🏔️✨
