I was happy to stumble upon the newly opened Castlewood Gardens in Franktown, CO this past weekend to purchase a beautiful multi-branch tree for our front yard. Love that they offer delivery and planting options. Make time for exploring all of the beautiful fountains on the property and the large amount of greenhouses to explore. You’ll enjoy this nursery!

I don’t cuss a lot, but when I do, it usually involves finding MORE landscape fabric in my garden even though I’ve lived in this house over six years and thought it was all gone!!

Yesterday I turned 51! I’m grateful for so much and looking forward to the year ahead.

I was able to celebrate this weekend with my husband and dear friends, Sarah and Dave, while in St. Louis over the weekend as we celebrated their April bdays too.

It’s been several days since our deep freeze here in Denver, but unfortunately two of my favorite peonies look like the won’t get any blooms this year 😢

I have three other peony plants that didn’t have their blooms as far along that seem to be happy and doing ok. Looks like we have some more chilly weather on the way this coming weekend, so hopefully all the perennials will get through it.

Due to our warmer winter, everything in my garden is about three weeks ahead of schedule, which makes it tough when we can still get freezing weather well into May.
