Two Years today Traci left us.
This video was taken on my last trip with her to Versailles in 2023. There are no words to describe the magic of staying at Versailles. Now more so than ever. I took this video during our champagne picnic on the lawn.

The entire stay at Versailles was a dream come true orchestrated by Traci.

I remember feeling as though we were living in fantasy and now it seems we were. In this video She says “we can’t waste a drop girls”.

To Me It’s a reminder to never take those you love for granted. Never take a single day for granted. We don’t get do overs on either.

Live each day with intention. Love one another. That is truly life’s ultimate luxury. To be surrounded by people you love, who also love you.

Traci may not be with us now on the day to day, but She lives on in all who loved her.

Cheers to you my friend for a life well lived. Just know you are very missed but your legacy of living life to the fullest in the best shoes, sipping champagne with those you love will live on forever. Oxox

I believe outdoor rooms should feel every bit as inviting as the rooms inside your home.

These custom cushions from Calico brought new life to our Versailles-inspired furniture and created the perfect place to gather, unwind, and make memories all season long.

Beautiful design should always invite you to stay a little longer.

Some pieces become more than furniture.

In 2023, my dear friend Traci and I fell in love with this Versailles-inspired collection while visiting France together. She tracked down the maker and ordered it for her home, but it arrived just a month after she passed away.

Her husband later entrusted it to me, and every time I sit here, I’m reminded of our friendship and the memories we made.

To honor that trip, I knew I needed some well-made custom cushions to finish the furniture, so I went to my local Calico. I chose this beautiful French blue outdoor fabric from Calico for the cushions. This is a color that always takes me back to Versailles. Calico made the entire process so easy.

Sometimes home isn’t just about beautiful things.

It’s about the stories they carry.

People think luxury is a marble countertop.
They are wrong.

Luxury is designing a kitchen where everything has a place, where cooking feels effortless, where your morning coffee routine flows without frustration.

My kitchen was featured in Traditional Home magazine, and while I’m proud that it was featured in a National Magazine, that’s not what makes it luxurious.

What makes it luxurious is that every cabinet, every drawer, and every storage space was designed around the way I actually live and function in the space.

Because real luxury isn’t about having more, its about living better.

As an interior designer, that’s what I hope every home gives the people who live there: not just something beautiful to look at, but something that makes everyday life feel easier.

Some Think Luxury Is Buying Beautiful Things. For Me, It’s Beautiful Experiences with People I love.

Happy 40th Birthday Walker! I ‘ve spent 17 birthdays celebrating you without you here, and somehow that still doesn’t seem possible.

People often say that time heals everything. I’ve learned that time doesn’t erase love. It simply teaches us how to carry it differently.

Not a day goes by that I don’t wonder what your life would look like today. The man you would have become. The dreams you would have chased. The family you might have built. I know you would have made this world brighter simply by being in it.

I miss your laugh.
I miss your smile.
I miss hearing “Mom, I love you more”

I also know how incredibly fortunate I am to have been your mother, even if our time together was far too short.

Happy 40th my son.

You are loved beyond words.
Missed beyond measure.
